The climate is fairly constant all year round; a pleasant 24 - 28 degrees at night, climbing to around 33 degrees at the hottest. The lowest recorded temperature (at our location, i.e. sea level) in Borneo is 23 degrees Centigrade. It often rains in the late afternoon or evening, making it pleasantly cool again. The mornings are glitteringly calm and serene .......... Although it rains a lot inland (rainforest areas!), it is relatively dry where we are on the coast, with just evening and night time showers. The wettest season in Borneo is before Christmas (Oct-Dec), but it is also the coolest and the time for the fruit season! February is usually the driest month (good for climbing and trekking!) Heat and Humidity are a part of life in Borneo! There are many ways of staying cool, but if you are not sure exactly how it might affect you, give us a call or e-mail.
